Twenty-One

This is Drake, and on this most significant day, I felt it necessary to take the time to share with you, our loyal friends, something that so many of you may already have learned.  I want to share with you a very simple fact that has not only changed my life and existence, but one that has also impacted the lives of so many countless others.  The simple fact is that, quite simply put, Lauren Ashley is amazing in every single way.  In case you are one of the few who may have yet to be enlightened to this very wonderful truth, please allow me to share with you just a few reasons why this remains so blatantly obvious.  I love her, first of all you see, and that fact in and of itself, is enough to make me believe that she hung the very moon and stars.  I'm convinced of it, like never before.  To me, she embodies the very radiance of the entire universe, and the smile that so casually flashes across her beautiful face is enough to make one believe in destiny.  I know this, because I've experienced it.  Twenty-one years ago, I was an eight year old boy who had no way of knowing that somewhere, within the neighboring state, my life was in the process of being changed forever.  Twenty-one years ago today, the love of my life was born, and because of that, my life will never be the same again.  Happy Birthday Lauren Ashley, and thank you for illuminating the world with such a beautiful light.

To celebrate this most auspicious day, I've taken the liberty of comprising "Twenty-One Reasons Why I Love Lauren Ashley."  I hope that you enjoy.

21.  She's Jewish, and therefore a shrewd businesswoman.
20.  She has freckles.  Lots of them.
19.  She has the most adorable nose that has ever been placed upon the human face.
18.  She is an indie artist.
17.  She loves P.F. Chang's Chinese Bistro.  ....actually "loves" is an understatement, and it's adorable.
16.  She loves kittens to the point that I truly believe she probably was one in a past life.  ....or several.
15.  She wears dresses almost everyday.
14.  She has the most beautiful hair in the entire world, and the smell of it reminds me of summer vacation.
13.  She eats a hamburger so very meticulously that it appears she is literally dismantling it.
12.  She loves sweet tea almost as much as me, and so our matching "sweet tea IV drips" will work well.
11.  She has a dog named Twinkle that hates me and once tried to decapitate me.
10.  She wears TOMS.
09.  She likes to sleep.
08.  She hates when I sing Broadway musicals to her.  ...which means that she is also brilliant.
07.  She tolerates the fact that I am the ultimate Sci-Fi nerd.
06.  She instructs me to never order an appetizer at dinner, and then always helps to finish it.
05.  She is an amazing photographer.
04.  She will be an amazing mommy.
03.  She wants to share her life with me.
02.  She is my dream come true.
01.  She said that she loves me too.

Oh my goodness, thank you Drake! In reply: I love you. Thank you for everything. I can't believe so many people are trying to rip us apart, and for what exactly? Saying that we're a bad image for "God" because we have an open mind and we won't give in to peoples outrageous beliefs? I love you, with all of my heart and soul, and I'm going to stand by your side no matter what life continues to throw at us. I love you, I love you, I love you. I always will.  (Oh and I LOVE how you sing Broadway! I do! I ask you to sing to me every night, but you're the one who rejects my pleas! I just don't like how you sing musicals from 7th grade. Was I even born when you were in 7th grade? Wait. I was in kindergarden.)
