Dreams.

If you have a dream, do it. Don't let anyone hold you back. I'm going through this right now. People [family] are fighting to hold me back and chain me down, but I refuse. I'm strong-willed, free-spirited, and I won't let anyone run my life. Yes, what they say hurts but it won't stop me from achieving what I want to do in life. What is that? I want to be free. I want to travel, enjoy my life, and heal. I've gone through countless years of mental, physical, and emotional abuse. Now that I'm finally free from that situation, I can find myself - or so I thought. The system says once you get out of high-school you go to college. If you don't go to college, you work. But that's not me. I can't handle that right now. I don't see the point in school when you can't concentrate or enjoy it. I've heard time and time again, "Well you'll just have to get over it. Not everyone likes it." Well, if I don't like with it, I won't do it. Simple as that. No, I'm not lazy. I just refuse to be unhappy anymore in my life. I may not have the love and support of a family to have my back on this, but I've come to learn and realize that it's okay. I don't have to live my life for them. I need to do this for me, because if I don't then I won't ever be truly happy with myself. I'll just be living to make others happy, and one of my 'resolutions' for this year is to NOT do that anymore.

Day 4

  2. I think it is important to be educated to ensure that you wont be a burden on your spouse or family later in life. why not empower yourself? if you have emotional problems it is even more of a reason. take your life in your own hands. if you arent educated and you dont work, you are living off of someone else.. and you may not be able to count on that person forever.

  3. Thank you for your concern, anon! However, there are many types of education; education can be derived from more than just the stereotypical aspects of higher learning. It isn't necessary to submit yourself to the teachings of someone else or to the institution to find education. The greatest education is experience itself in life. But since you're so concerned about education - Between me and Drake are three doctorates, a masters, and a smaller degree. Is that not enough? Once again, thank you for your concern!
