Goals Vs. Priorities

I need to set some goals for myself. Now if you're reading this, don't let me fail on any of these goals. Kay? 'Cause I like challenges and all but I do tend to get lazy. So, encouragement is the best thing ever in this case! Anyways... these goals are very, very important to me. They're not in any set order. Just whatever comes to mind that I remember.

1. Weight/gym membership. Not only do I want to lose weight to look hot in my wedding dress come October, but I need to do this. I need to lose weight and get healthy for my future plans. What are these plans you may ask? Pregnancy! No, I'm not trying to get pregnant now. But a good year to a year and a half down the line, when I'm thinking about it, I will have conquered a major obstacle in having a child healthily with the disease that I have. I'm not really overweight. Curvy, sure. Maybe a little extra pounds here and there but overall I'm not gigantic. But with the disease that I have, the toner and slimmer that you are, the better of a chance it is for you to get pregnant and whatnot. Basically my logic, though. It all makes sense though. I can't regularly start periods. A part of this disease is the fact that I don't process foods/sugars mainly the same as everyone else. And it greatly effects metabolism. A girls worst nightmare, right? Anyways, if you can overcome that weight/lack of metabolism problem and eat right and stay healthy most of the time you can start periods on your own and in my own opinion, you can almost beat the disease. Even though it is un-beatable.

2. Blog. I need to blog more. I'm getting better at it, I think! But I need to just get into it more.

3. Picture taking/studying. I'm going to buy books on cameras and whatnot and read them. Now as much as I HATE instruction manuals, I'm going to sit and spend time with it and hopefully learn things that I didn't know before. I'm going to make it a priority to take pictures almost daily if not daily. My husband being the main victim.

4. Vegetarianism. Okay so I don't plan on going full out vegetarian. I'm going to start eating like one though, in many ways. I'm going to only get meat/veggies from a local freshmarket. My loving husband has expressed his excitement in wanting to participate and cook for/with me. How adorable. I can't wait.

5. Spirituality. I need to start really studying myself and my spirituality. I need to take time each day to thank God for life and what he has given me. I'm christian, yes, but keeping an open mind to others and their religious beliefs is a very important thing. I want to know more about people and what they believe in and respect it and just be informed all around.. Because when you lose that open-mindedness, you lose yourself. You lose heart, common sense, and respect.

6. Get started on a book.

7. Get animals. What kind? Sieberian husky, golden retriever, and kitteh catzzz.

That is all for now, I suppose.

  1. "Because when you lose open-mindedness you lose yourself." Amazing. I love your insight.

  2. I love everything you said in spirituality. If you want, I'll tell you everything I know about Paganism, It'll take a year and a day, but yeah, I'll tell you.

As far as blogging more, I have a TON of prompts on my blog. You could always use them. :)

Write a book, I'll buy it. I'll even help you edit it.
